Croeso i Dosbarth Dau!

In this class your class teachers are Mrs Ellis and  Mrs A'hearne and our learning support assistants are Mrs Everitt and Mrs Peart.

In the Summer term we will be focusing on the Science and Technology AOLE. This area of the curriculum draws on the disciplines of biology, chemistry, computer science, design and technology, and physics to enhance learners' knowledge and understanding of the world.

In the Summer term 1 our big question will be 'What are houses made of?'

Throughout this inquiry we will be learning how to be ambitious capable learners. We will be exploring different materials and why they are used for different things. We will have lots of fun building with different objects and finding out the best materials to use for our school building.

In the Summer term 2 our big question will be 'What's on the farm?'

During this inquiry we will be learning how to be healthy and confident individuals and how to be ethically informed citizens. We will have the opportunity to look at how plants and animals grow and what products come from farms. We will look at how we can use our knowledge to grow our own food and look after plants and animals.

Home learning

Letterjoin: Letter-join is an online handwriting resource for teaching handwriting. Handwriting can be fun and using Letter-join can help reinforce cursive handwriting formation with a variety of fresh activities. To support handwriting at school, pupils can also log into Letter-join at home, accessing all the resources including the touch-screen activities on iPads and tablets.

You will have received log in details to access this resource - please contact the school office should you have any problems accessing the program or if you require another copy of the code.
SeeSaw app: The foundation phase classes (Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2) use the app ‘SeeSaw’ to provide home learning opportunities for pupils.  Your child will have brought home a QR code to allow you to access their account.

You will need to install the SeeSaw Class app on an  iOS or Android device. Or go to app.seesaw.me on any computer in Chrome or Firefox browser.

  1. Choose I’m a Student.
  2. Scan your code using Seesaw’s QR code reader or type in the text code.

Pupils receive a weekly homework assignment linked to learning that has taken place in school that week.
